Matched Pair of our new Rev.2 80% nickel transformers for the PS Audio Directstream DAC MKI.
These require a pre-paid order as we build these in batches. First come first served basis. We sometimes have them already built and in stock however If you want them, we recommend you pre-order them to get on the list.
In January 2023 we developed these transformers.
Starting with Beeswax and natural versions. We stopped production of the Beeswax version as we discovered they sound identical to the Natural version after 400 or so hours of burn in.
On December 20,2023 we upgraded our transformers to the NEW Revision 2 which works together with our DC offset tune to lower the distortion and increases the dynamics as well as increased low level detail.
We found that all Directstream DAC's have this DC offset issue. Some as bad as 14mv on one channel. We have found none that had at least one channel below 3mv. Most much higher.
All units have different DC offset values which make this even worse as both channels won't sound the same.
